Avocado Toast with a Twist

Creamy mashed avocado spread over whole-grain toast, topped with juicy cherry tomatoes, flaxseeds, and a drizzle of olive oil. A delicious way to get your dose of healthy fats and fiber!

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 slice whole grain bread
  • ½ ripe avocado, mashed
  • 4 cherry tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 tbsp flaxseeds
  • ½ tsp olive oil
  • Squeeze of lemon juice
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Toast the whole grain bread until crispy.
  2. Spread mashed avocado evenly on toast.
  3. Top with cherry tomatoes, flaxseeds, and a drizzle of olive oil.
  4. Squeeze lemon juice, add salt & pepper, and enjoy!

 

Why it’s heart-healthy? Avocados contain heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, which help lower bad cholesterol.
