Meet Shannel Foxworth,
Licensed Massage Therapist
Shannel noticed the importance of mental health after battling depression silently for 10 years. In 2017 she decided to take hold of her future and focus on things she was passionate about, mental health and wellness. She attended Cortiva Institute and received her Certification and License in Massage Therapy. Over the last few years, she has combined her love for massage therapy and mental health wellness. She currently works in the Behavioral Health field providing the residents of Philadelphia with resources for mental health, housing, employment, childcare etc. She is currently in the process of obtaining her Certifications for Community Health Worker and Maternity, Doula and Fertility Massage.
Shannel understands the mind/body connection and how trauma can affect your overall well-being. Her massage style is one that focuses on silencing the mind and allowing mental clarity to flow if only for the moment. She is excited to assist you in putting yourself first so that you can help those you love.
Meet Sophia Valeri,
Licensed Massage Therapist
As a former high level athlete, Sophia knows what it feels like for the body to take a hard beating. With her extensive knowledge on stretching the body and the amazing benefits that come with it, she looks to incorporate stretching into both her personal practice, as well as her bodywork, as much as she can. She studied massage therapy at Lourdes Institute of Holistic Studies in Camden, NJ, and got her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Temple University. She is well versed in anatomy and physiology, and truly understands how everything within the body is connected.
Sophia has been certified in Cupping and Gua Sha, as well as Sports Massage, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage, with plans to continue to learn and grow as a bodyworker, so that she may continue to help as many people as possible.
Sophia’s biggest goal for her clients is to enable them to continue working on themselves on their own at home. She likes to provide simple and effective corrective muscle exercises and stretches to complement the work she does with you on the table.
