Dark Chocolate Almond Butter Hearts
Ingredients:
- 1 cup dark chocolate (melted)
- 1/2 cup almond butter (or peanut butter)
- 1 TBS coconut oil
- 1 TBS honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 TSP sea salt
- crushed almonds or cacao nibs for topping
Instructions:
- Melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil together in a double broiler or microwave in 30-second intervals (stir in between)
- Pour a small amount of melted chocolate into heart-shaped silicone molds, coating the bottom. Freeze for 5 minutes
- Mix almond butter, honey and sea salt in a small bowl
- Add a spoonful of the almond butter mixture on top of the chocolate layer
- Cover with remaining melted chocolate and smooth the tops
- Sprinkle crushed almonds or cacao nibs for an extra crunch
- Freeze for at least 15 minutes or until set. Pop them out and enjoy!
