Dark Chocolate Almond Butter Hearts

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dark chocolate (melted)
  • 1/2 cup almond butter (or peanut butter)
  • 1 TBS coconut oil
  • 1 TBS honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 TSP sea salt
  • crushed almonds or cacao nibs for topping

Instructions:

  1. Melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil together in a double broiler or microwave in 30-second intervals (stir in between)
  2. Pour a small amount of melted chocolate into heart-shaped silicone molds, coating the bottom. Freeze for 5 minutes
  3. Mix almond butter, honey and sea salt in a small bowl
  4. Add a spoonful of the almond butter mixture on top of the chocolate layer
  5. Cover with remaining melted chocolate and smooth the tops
  6. Sprinkle crushed almonds or cacao nibs for an extra crunch
  7. Freeze for at least 15 minutes or until set. Pop them out and enjoy!
