APPOINTMENTS

The standard meeting time for psychotherapy is 50 minutes. It is up to you, however, to determine the length of time of your sessions. Requests to change the 50-minute session time need to be discussed with your therapist, in advance of the session, in order for the appropriate time to be scheduled.

CANCELLATIONS / RESCHEDULING

In order to provide a schedule that is conducive to availability for all clients, we ask that if you need to cancel/reschedule a session you do so with at least 24 hours notice. Doing so with less notice may result in a $65 charge, which will be billed directly to your card on file. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you.  If you are more than 15 minutes late, the session may need to be rescheduled. Additionally, if you are late for a session, you may lose some of that session time so that we can proceed on schedule for subsequent clients. If you do not contact your therapist to cancel within the timeframe above and it’s the very first time this has happened, we’re happy to waive the late cancellation fee because…..life.

NO SHOWS

Not showing for a scheduled session without contacting us takes away the opportunity for another client to meet during that time slot. Our therapists are required to reach out (based on your communication preferences) and wait 15 minutes, prior to receiving communication from you the client, before documenting the session as a no show. In the event that we do not hear from you, in order to establish accountability and continue to help you work towards your goals, no shows will result in a full session charge of $125, which will be billed directly to your card on file. If you do not contact your therapist to cancel within the timeframe above and it’s the very first time this has happened, we’re happy to waive the no show fee because…..life.

PAYMENT

Payment for your session/copay is due the day of your appointment, and is typically billed the evening you have met with your Therapist. In the virtual hybrid world that we are in, we prefer that payments be made via our secure client portal via credit card, debit card, or HSA card. If we do not have an active credit card on file for you, we will not be able to schedule a session until that card is added to the system.
